The best thing about these LED lights is that you can dim the lights as much or as little as you want using the LIFX app. To be honest, I hardly ever adjust the light anymore because I found the perfect color temperature (Kelvin) for every room in my house. So even though I can choose from millions of colors, I only need one shade that I absolutely love. And how many people can say they love the color of their LED light bulbs?
No more flickering LED lights
I haven't always been a fan of LED lights. The LED lights from ten years ago irritated me with their flickering. But I am all about keeping up with the greenest and cleanest technology, so I persisted in trying to find the perfect LED light bulb for every room in my house. When we moved into my 1960's ranch style house there were no ceiling lights that drove my husband nuts. So we installed a different brand of LED ceiling lights in every room. Although they're functional and my husband is happy with them, I realized the only way for me to like the light is to use strategically placed floor and table lamps in every room.
Now, we still have the LED ceiling lights on a wall switch. But I rarely use those lights. The light from one perfectly set LIFX LED light bulb in a floor or table lamp is just right. It's more flattering and less abrasive than having light from above. Plus, I have it on just the right color, which is the key to why these lights are so good for making every room in the house look its best.
The benefits of LED lights in lamps
The final thing about ceiling lights is they're expensive to have installed. I wish I would have saved the money I spent on LED ceiling lights and just bought more floor and ceiling lamps with these LIFX LED light bulbs instead. Live and learn!
How to buy LED lights
I've also written a post called How to buy LED lights you'll love where I go into detail about Lumens and Kelvins, which is how LED lights are measured for color and brightness. Most of us are used to buying incandescent light bulbs that use Watts to measure the brightness of the bulb. Getting the perfect color and brightness of your bulb is how to you determine which kind of bulb will be right for every room, so it's important to understand Lumens and Kelvins when buying LED lights.
